We at Desmone are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone: eight years since the opening of our West Virginia office.
It’s an occasion that fills us with pride and gratitude as we reflect on our growth and remarkable achievements since becoming a part of the great state of West Virginia. Nestled in the heart of Morgantown, our West Virginia office has been a beacon of creativity, innovation and community focused since its inception.
Over the past eight years, our team has transformed visions into reality, and shaped the built environment in ways that inspire and promote well-being. From stunning residential projects to dynamic commercial developments, each project has been infused with the Desmone touch – an unwavering commitment to quality, integrity, and client satisfaction. Through this journey our team’s design excellence has been awarded seven times by the AIA West Virginia chapter.
Below are some standout completed projects:
- Westridge Corporate Park
- A pair of sister Class A office buildings located in Westover off of Interstate 79 which house Steptoe & Johnson, MVB Bank & Jackson Kelly’s Morgantown offices.
- Leidos Agile Center for Excellence
- A new 33,000 square foot software coding factory which brings modern design and amenities to a challenging talent retention profession.
- 461 High Street Apartments & Retail
- The first new construction project in Downtown Morgantown for over a decade prior, the new 23,000 square foot class A residential units and retail have been a welcomed addition to the heart of Morgantown.
- Westridge Commons Retail
- 100,000 Square feet of retail which brought the likes of Burlington, Ross, PetSmart, Shoe Carnival and Home Goods to the Morgantown market.
- Ascend Co-Working
- Transformation of a former downtown lighting showroom into a state of the art co-working facility for Ascend West Virginia’s new transplants to call home and thrive.
- WVU Chitwood Hall Renovation
- A historic renovation of an academic building located on West Virginia University’s iconic downtown campus Woodburn Circle. This structure constructed in 1893 is the newest of the three buildings built on the circle which is located adjacent to the University’s symbolic Woodburn Hall.
- The Morris Event Center
- Located in the Glen Elk section of Clarksburg West Virginia this event center is located in the former Morris Grocery warehouse building. It’s elegant design has hosted numerous weddings, gala’s and balls since it’s inception in 2022.
- Mountain State Brewing Company
- This award winning restaurant is located in Bridgeport West Virginia – the simplistic rustic yet modern design has kept patrons coming back for more since 2018.
In addition to these completed projects, our ongoing endeavors showcase our commitment to pushing the boundaries of design innovation for the residents of West Virginia. These include:

- Redevelopment of the former Mylan Pharmaceutical Plant.
- WVU Field Hall Renovations
- Renovation of the former Business & Economics Building.
- Wheeling Visitor & Heritage Center
- A new Mixed use development showcasing the original “gateway to the west”.
- Weirton Conference Center
- A new Conference & Event center poised to bring new industry to the Weirton community.
- Beech Bottom Industrial Plant
- Redevelopment of the former Wheeling Steel Plant.
- 1400 Market Street Redevelopment
- The historic preservation of an entire block in Wheeling, West Virginia.
