Create a plan that works.

We toured their existing restaurant in Morgantown to get an overall idea of their operations. Our goal was to take their initial concept and make it more efficient by reducing the kitchen’s footprint and introducing gas-powered wood ovens, rather than standard wood-fired ovens.

Giving form to vision

We developed pockets of seating to make sure all end users would be accommodated. This included incorporating high-top outdoor seating, adequate bar seating, low tables, and booths for family style dining.

Working out the details

We designed the space to feel like a natural extension of Mountain State’s barn-like brand identity, while also fitting in with the owner’s budget. The dynamic of these objectives led to decisions like sourcing rustic fixtures and corrugated metal panels.

Building your vision.

Construction required many creative solutions. We needed to coordinate the power and gas lines to accommodate specialized kitchen and bar equipment as well as get the large and heavy Italian-made ovens into the space.

Maximizing your investment

When reading reviews online about the restaurant, you'll quickly find comments about how much visitors love the atmosphere and efficiency of the space.
