The growth of BPMI’s staff was the driving force behind this 90,000 square foot addition to a previously renovated and completed space done by our team. Our focus for this project was the seamless appearance of the additional space with the existing structure.
Create a plan that works.
An adjacent lot was purchased to make room for the new addition. Attention was given to code review in order to allow for additional future expansions.
Giving form to vision
Our goal with this transition was to allow for future expansion while creating a seamless looking building. The use of existing exterior materials was continued while a new main entrance and security checkpoint were added to the inviting interior. Amenities were added to the building as well with the addition of a fitness center, meeting spaces, and an exterior walking track.
Working out the details
We prepared renderings of critical spaces and the exterior of the building in order to obtain approval and buy-in on the design from BPMI leadership. Working closely with Elmhurst Group’s facility staff as well as BPMI security representatives, maintenance, and security considerations were inherent to the design process
Building your vision.
We scheduled and phased the work to stay inline with BPMI’s security requirements. The design of the addition allowed the contractor to complete it without opening connections to the existing building. Once complete BPMI was able to move operations over to the additional vacating spaces in the existing built slated for renovations.
Maximizing your investment
The various amenities and modernized workspace contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the staff. Allowing for multiple food choices, private space, and the ability to exercise inside and out helps contribute to the health and well-being of the staff.
