Create a plan that works.
We evaluated two adjacent sites to determine which was more topographically suitable. After an extensive site review, proposed design, and cost analysis, we determined the project would be best serviced by using one full site and a portion of the second for future expansion.
Giving form to vision
The design of the first phase involved two components: a 5,600-square-foot office space and a 15,000-square-foot, high-bay production area. We created an angularly shaped office building to accentuate the entry way and orient the glazed façade to be visible for approaching traffic.
Working out the details
The first phase of the building was designed to appear as a complete design. Our strategy, however, was to allow for the expansion while minimizing the impact of the first building and allow it to remain operational. This included future incorporation of an elevator, locating the original stairs for egress without adding more, and removing the end wall precast concrete panels for re-use in the addition.
Building your vision.
Desmone worked with ProMinent’s leadership and owner’s representative to procure bids from multiple contractors in a competitive bid process. Due to ProMinent needing to keep the initial facility in operations during the expansions, we worked to develop solutions to make this happen. The initial phase of the project came in on budget, while the expansion came in under budget.
Maximizing your investment
The initial phase of the project provided ProMinent with the space they needed to expand into new business sectors. Our design strategies focused on occupant comfort and energy savings, which helped keep the staff productive as well as operating costs down.
