The Warhol

The Warhol

To mark its 20th Anniversary in 2014, The Andy Warhol Museum underwent a complete “re-hang." A key piece of this was the renovation of the entire ground floor, including the main entry lobby, gift shop, and café areas.

Create a plan that works.

The vision of the main lobby was to recreate it to look like Andy's "Silver Factory," while also making the floor's cafe and gift shop more prominent.

Giving form to vision

Our work had to be completed in time for the Warhol's 20th Anniversary Gala. Beyond that, we needed to plan the work while keeping the museum open and not interrupting pre-planned events.

Working out the details

We created a welcoming space that was quiet, filled with natural light, and offered seating zones to stay and enjoy the museum before and after your visit.

Building your vision.

We were prepared to manage construction around the Warhol's schedule. They hosted an event nearly every weekend, so we veiled the construction through cleaning and the hanging of temporary curtains.

Maximizing your investment

The new programming supported the museum as a destination spot where you could comfortably spend an entire morning or afternoon. Private event bookings, ticket and retail sales all went up after the renovation.
