The Carina project involved two phases: adding two stories to an existing building and renovating it into apartments. Majority of the 45 units are 2 or 3 bedrooms, with 38 being affordable. The design pays homage to the building's history, featuring visible Rotunda areas and warm tones. Phase II focused on developing the Rotunda into a community space for artists and events. Awarded 2019 9% LIHTC and PHFA’s Innovation and Design Award.
