This is a flexible, three-tenant, mixed-use building, designed with a single slope pre-engineered steel main structural frame. The building shell is designed to be tall enough to accommodate a partial second floor at the high side of the roof if a future tenant requires it. The exterior cladding is of simple ribbed metal panels, with large window openings meant to be reminiscent of warehouse and industrial typologies, and warmer and more human-scaled materials at the three entrance structures. The landscape design incorporates stone that was harvested during the excavation of the site. The interior fit-out displayed is office space for the developer of the project. The design uses simple materials – polished concrete, white oak, glass, gray laminate, and white-painted walls – to shape a space that balances private offices and open collaboration space with two conference rooms – one “clean” for formal meetings and one “dirty” for construction meetings – and a central kitchen/bar area.
