Assistant Project Designer
In 2011 Jared Korchok was an intern at Desmone for the summer. Upon graduation from the architecture program at Penn State University one year later, he was hired on full-time as a Project Designer. Of his college experience, Jared says, “Attending Penn State has allowed me to further develop my conceptual understanding of building functions and aesthetics. Since I have always considered myself more of a technical designer, attending a school that is more conceptually driven has definitely helped to make me a well-rounded professional.”
As a Project Designer, Jared is active in the design process and is often responsible for researching building materials and methods, and producing architectural drawings and construction documents. Jared is also very skilled at creating high-quality architectural images and is leading in-house training seminars on how to produce these graphics.
Jared has known that he wanted to be in the design field since high school. “I would design furniture in my CAD class and then build it in wood shop for my class to sell. I think that’s where I decided I wanted to be an architect,” he says.
Originally from Saltsburg, PA Jared now lives in Brentwood with his Siberian Husky Kato. An avid outdoorsman, Jared spends a lot of his time hunting, fishing and canoeing. Jared also plays the guitar and piano and has found that playing music is his favorite way to unwind after a stressful day.
